Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

I got my gauge hoses routed as well as my switch box wires before the rain was too much to stand.

I would have gotten a lot more done, but I had to pull 2 of my 4 air valve setups and re-tap the hole for the gauge line. The brass is real soft and I guess I smacked it or something so the first thread was bent. It's all good now.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

Played around with choke and idle speed settings on the carb- Trying to make all my tweaks before the really cold weather hits. Seems like it's 90% right now. Bought and installed a new gas filler cap, in place of the old, locking, cracked rubber seal, part that has been on there for the last 8 yrs or so.

Then I drained the fuel out of my Yz 250, and added about 4 gal's of premix to the truck. Pretty much done with the bike for the season

Dropped the tranny and pulled the motor. Pressure washed the chassis.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

almost took my nose off when the truck started on its own while i was underneath messing with re-routing the wires on the starter. it was quite a scare when it cranked and started and my hands were in between the header pipes and starter motor. i forgot to disconect the positive battery cable and because i crossed the wires i couldnt just turn off the key, so while the truck is on jack stands its running i had to disconnect the battery to turn it off. that shook me up so i'll i did was sand blast the flywheel cover and paint it and called it a day and contemplated all the damge i could have done.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

I got the grill trim and chevy emblem put on my 68. Also put a couple chips in my fresh paint trying to mess with my front bumper by myself. Heres a tip for everyone that Im going to do next time I mess with it: tape rags or styrofoam around all the outside of the bumper where it might possibly scratch paint.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

Washed the truck in Comet and took the oxidation off. Gonna compound it next, not sure when I will get to that.

ChevyBoy55, Nice Blue on your truck!!!!

I finished putting together the front piece of my Longhorn bed and then completed the mounting of Longhorn Bed and installed new door locks on my 70 Chevy Custom. Got to visit Classic Industries the weekend before and it was a great experience. I bought one of those truck t-shirts for our style trucks.
Respectfully

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

installed a fabtech 6 in lift kit in a 2003 avalanch. it only took 7hrs but man was it fun. i was really really impressed with the overall quality of the parts as well as the instructions. i have never seen instructions soo clear in my life.

"ChevyBoy55, Nice Blue on your truck!!!!" <- i totally agree.

OH MY GOD... What have I done? I had a running, driving and pretty decent looking truck less than a month ago.

All kidding aside, I have to wonder sometimes why we do the things we do. Oh well, no turning back now.
