Re: last time, for sale or trade 72 wrecker for parts

Sent u a Pm back on the Wrecker, Will u Take $ 200.00 mailed out to u Asap for it & give me no longer than the 1'st of year to pick up or forfeit the money? I have access to a tri-axle trailer but don't feel my 1/2 ton 96 Chevy would be up for the task?

Thanks, Rick

Jamie

Postal Money Order was mailed out this morning, You may get it by Tomorrow.
Can u do me a favor & snap a few shots of the cab, Would like too see how bad the rockers, floor pans & corners are........Also a shot under the hood?

I have a 67 that i want to start working on & am hoping to use that cab on it since it's a factory air cab, I will try eventually to get the wrecker in a running status.......................

Here is a shot of what i have too start with.............

As u can see it need's a lot of TLC, Will be looking on this Board for more parts as needed, Thanks for your help and patience with the deal.....

Wanted to check in too see if u got the Money Order yet? I talked to a guy last night who has a roll back & he quoted me $ 400.00 to haul the wrecker.
For now Im going to keep looking at other means of getting it here, Do u think it could be pulled on a Tow Dolly?

Thanks, Rick

Re: last time, for sale or trade 72 wrecker for parts

couldnt you use a strong towbar ? that big frontbumper should have some way of mounting stuff on there and the propshaft is probably allready taken off when they pulled the engine and trans
you than just need a heavy towing vehicle , it a heavy truck and it will prolly bend a dolly over the first bump it gets

Re: last time, for sale or trade 72 wrecker for parts

Jamie,

Good New's, Was able to score the Crew Cab Last Night. It was about 60 Miles away from me & it seemed to drive fine on the way home. Im looking toward the week after Xmas for pick-up, Will that work for u? Will u have some way of helping to get it loaded?

On a side note also got another Truck today, Both Trucks were actually trade deals. My wife was happy that i got rid of 3 & only brought home 2, I have not had the heart to tell her about the Wrecker yet.............

The Dually will probably end up on evilbay to fund my 67 Stepside & the wrecker buld......

Here are pics of each

Re: last time, for sale or trade 72 wrecker for parts

those wheels look way too tiny for that truck , the truck itself looks pretty solid though

Re: last time, for sale or trade 72 wrecker for parts

Jamie

U need to clear out your pm's, Says u have no space left...........

Since u said tranny still has bellhousing attatched & u would throw in a flywheel, So i need a pilot & throwout bearing, Clutch & pressure plate, Does that sound right? Is clutch petal & linkage still in truck?

Do u have this stuff that i could buy from u, If not will probably post a wtb ad on the classifieds, Trying to round up everthing so that when i get it home i can get it going.................. < I Hope>

Thanks, Rick
Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!
