I'm confused. I thought all 2wd 1/2 ton Chevys were coil springs. Am I dumb?

Your not dumb leaf springs were an option in 72 on chevy 2wd. GMC however was reverse,leaf springs stock with a coil spring option. I was very confused myself when i got the truck but the guys at Early Classics filled me in.
