Re: Finally! Pics of my new K5 - The Sportchicken
Nice rig. I think you're going to have a very hard time finding NOS graphics to replace the worn ones. I also do like it for the rarity, but not the look. If you're going to lift it and put on custom wheels, why keep the graphics?

i agree. It parks under cover, so i will try to protect it there. i will be investigating graphics options, hopefully i can come up with something. maybe i'll just use lift blocks instead of a proper suspension lift. that way it can be very easily returned to stock, and i won't have mods. wheels can just be swapped. the originals are keepers.

If it was mine I would keep the paint & graphics, and add a small lift and different tires and rims something like the one in the picture here.

Re: Finally! Pics of my new K5 - The Sportchicken
You'll need to swap the front springs if you do any lift. A small lift shouldn't require any permanet changes, so you can swap back anytime.
Also, the "cracks" you are seeing in the top are common - mine has them too. Some are factory gaps, some are just the signs of it's age. Some simple fiberglass resin should fill in the actual cracks prior to paint.
