Re: My wife kicks ass!

Called those guys on the phone and they CAN NOT make a plate for Mississippi in 1969 colors. It was brown, and they don't have brown blanks.

Re: My wife kicks ass!

I've been thinking about this one for awhile 'cause I'd love to have some vintage (or vintage-looking) '72 plates. All TX offers is a cheesy 'antique truck' plate.

Can you (if so, how) register an existing or old plate? Could you get a repro vintage plate with the same number as your current plate and not get thrown in the clinker? Probably not, I know, but It'd be cool.

Re: My wife kicks ass!

most states would not let you use a re-pro plate, however, if they inspect it and don't catch it, then they could authorize it.
in Tx, you are able to run your dated (as in 1967) plates... but i don't recall the stipulations.

Re: My wife kicks ass!

In TX, you can register these for the same year truck. At the D.M.V. office they say you can ONLY drive the truck if you're taking it to a car show, a parade, or if you're working on it. Since something's always breaking or wearing out I'm working on it almost every day, so I don't have to worry.

So, you're sticking with that 69 VIN on your 67 cab? I guess the 67 plate would be out of the question. Are you guys in the new house yet, or are you still a city slicker?

Dean

PS: Thanks for the link! I have ordered mine.

Re: My wife kicks ass!

I have been buying up 67-72 Oklahoma plates at Antique stores so I will have one for each truck.
