Re: What is this Truck worth

So are you buying it? Looking at the pics, I'd have to say that baby is definately a 50th. The fact that an original truck that nice is in alaska.... definatley worth the asking $$$. Offer them 4K see what they say and try to get it for 4,500, if not it's still worth the 5K. Cash talks

...but of course you've already shown your "too" interested by taking it to your shop

That is a great looking truck!! I'd definitely buy that one in a heartbeat!
FYI the paint code for a 50th is: 4551AA.

Re: What is this Truck worth

Wow, nice truck. Thats a heck of a way to start your 67-72 collection. Welcome to the site from NW Florida!

Keep us informed on what, if anything, you decide to do to that beauty of a truck. Better not stray too far from stock though or you are liable to have a torch toting mob after you! Have fun with the truck!

Re: What is this Truck worth

Thanks everyone for your help, I will go ahead and buy this truck now after hearing what you guy's have to say. I was just looking at the build sheet and the paint code is 551 Ivory/Gold.....50th? I figured this truck was a decent buy but just didn't know alot about these trucks, if it was a Camaro or Vette that would be different. This truck will be make a great addition to my collection and I will post more pictures soon............Scott

It isnt crap, it's a protection set in place in order to portect board members. If you want to sell or buy you must subscribe, it works like a newspaper, for sale, trade, whats it worth (with a few exceptions) and want to buy must be subscribing members. 99% of the time someone posting a what its worth is trying ot sell the item, which violates teh no sellign rule for non subs... The one exception to that is when someone is price researching a truck before buying it. They arent selling it, they are buying it from an outside party and its perfectly acceptable to ask hey is this a good deal or am I getting ripped off?

Re: What is this Truck worth

Looks like the rarer gem I had read into your original post. Good to see a new member with excitement of these old trucks. This similar "truck fever" attitude has encouraged "addicted" many of us to stick around on this board and team up to salvage any parts or trucks worth keeping. Looks like you have a enviable first story about your truckaholicism.

Re: What is this Truck worth

I found a 1968 C10 long wide box pickup that is unreal. It has 32,000 miles on it and everything is original except for the battery.

Here are some pics after I cleaned it up and put some Corvette rallys I had on

5 lug 68 c/10 or 6 lug corvette rallys? Just curious.

Thanks for clearing that up. I just hadn't ever seen 6 hole corvette wheels. You have a nice truck and one that anyone would love to add to their collection.

Where am I, when deals like this come up? Oh yeah...thousands of miles away.

Smokin' truck I wouldn't take it back to them...take the cash, drop it in their laps, and get the paperwork to make that truck yours.

IMO, a very mild lowering(maybe 2-3 front, 3-4 rear) leave those 'vette rallies on it and have a killer lookin' ride.
