Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

got the shorty registerd and manged to lay some serious rubber down afew times. the 750 holley on it needs a full tear down and was not perfoming all, so i pulled it a put my new 600 single feed on it and it has a blast now. still needs some timing work done to it though, i cant wait to get a good size good condition carb on it.

went and watched some friends from the pirate board wheel and have some fun.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

I got the brakes bleed, sway bar mounted, and the truck washed, then driven for the first time in like 4 months.

My wife was just glad to see it out of the driveway

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

You guys make me feel like a lazy bum - I didn't get much of anything done. I'm in the midwest though, so I can blame the weather. One good thing I did though - I found this site, joined up, and got a lot of help from you folks!

brak, I mean no offense, but I laughed out loud when I read your post. I came home once to find my wife (then girlfriend) trapped in the spare bedroom of our old apartment. The door knob parts were worn so bad, I ended up pulling the pins from the hinges (painted over, of course) so she could get out. At least it was warm!

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

Thursday night I got quite a bit done with body work on the bed. I have the cab done just need to get the bed done so I can do the cab swap and pait it. Friday was my Anniversary 11 years but she makes it really easy....Marry a good looking woman. I took the wife and kids to have Tapenyaki (Japanese BBQ), it was their first time so they got a really good kick out of it. Saturday morning I got quite a bit done by Tuning up the truck, New Header gaskets, Full blown tune up, topped off the fluids, and a lill more body work. That night I took the family to catch a movie. Sunday I found out that I still have that short in the tail lights so It's been grounded during the evenings. Now that I got my car back I'm going to really kick it up a notch and get quite a bit of truck ready for paint. I have Monday off and the neighbor wants to help out with the body work so Im taking advantage of that.....pretty busy and productive weekend so far...(when every runs smooth) My wife asked if we can go up to Yosemite to play in the snow...MAYBE!

P.S. I forgot that Saturday afternoon had a beer with a buddy needed to talk. Poor guy is getting a divorce, didn't have the heart to tell my anniversary was the day before.......and his wife is damm near as good looking as mine......it's not always the looks...some just think the grass is greener I guess

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

I installed that air shut-off valve for the A/C in the cowl. It was about as much of an accomplishment as getting the transmission back in it, which I did last week!

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

got the fuel sending unit in, no more gas can sitting next to me. got the tail light problem solved, hopefully, and the parts should come in this week. cleaned up a bunch of parts sitting in the cab. put a peep mirror on the driver side. bolted the bed down, got an air cleaner stud. replaced the valve cover gasket and got the carb tuned to it's running much smoother.

it was nice getting back into it after a month long break

i also put air in the 2 driver side tires.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

Worked on installing power steering on the Blazer. Stripped and cleaned the PS box, PS pump, all brackets, primed/painted them, pulled manual box and cleaned/primed/painted frame area where it mounts. Installed box on frame. Cleaned off and primed frame where the OEM t-case skid crossmember will mount, also cleaned and primed the TC skid.

Too much painting, head feels woozy...

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

Froze my tail off. My son had a boy scout campout. Temp never got above freezing and I had about a quarter inch of ice on my tent. Finally got home on Sunday afternoon. I spent the rest of the day in front of the fireplace watching John Wayne movies.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

Because we don´t have a Solvent tank yet, I spent most of the weekend armed with a wire brush cleaning the gunk of my motor and tranny.
If anybody wants too, check out my diary. I try to keep it up to date as best as possible.

I finished up the metal work on my front drivers side fender and I put my A/C box back together with new gaskets.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

Went to my buddy's farm and hung out with his family.

Actual temp. -20*F. Then it was windy. Don't complain to me about cold. I also walk to class in the morning when it was -16*. But I signed up for it and it keeps us strong up here in the north.

But hung out, played in his shop a little bit and had a great NoDak time out on the farm. Discussed some engineering that needs to happen to my truck.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?

I work on Saturday nights so I sleep late on Sunday. Got up and did little all day except clean up my office some. I can find my desk now. We were going to the Detroit Auto Show today but decided it was too bad out to go. All it did here in NW Ohio was rain with a little ice on the trees but it was supposed to ice up just north of here and into Michigan. I guess the Ferrari rep will just have to live without seeing me this year.

I straightened out some things in the shop and tried to repair my office chair. It's all wood so I think that the fireplace would have been a better place for it. It may happen yet.
