Re: Boy oh boy, temptation... 2wd Blazer in my neck of woods
Well, after a night of thinking about it-
I decided to pass... I could get it, but I would have to give up my dirt bike and that is something I am not prepared to do OR I could also dump our 68 Camaro RS, but we did promise to keep it in the family so I just couldn't do that. I just need to get started on the 68 Camaro RS if I want a project I guess. If it was a 69 or an RS/SS it would excite me more. It has a lot of potential, numbers matching 327/Powerglide 68 RS that went through a poor man's restoration about 10 years ago and has just degraded exponentially since. Needs quite a bit of work. Ok, a LOT of work. Ran the whole pros vs. cons thing, and there were just too many tics in the cons department. The main ones being time and money... Time- I have had the 68 for about 6 months, and haven't done a thing except pulled off some old trim. I have had a bunch of new parts to put on my burb for about a month now and don't have the time to do it... How could I fit in another project? I also have another kid due in about 4 months. Money- Even if I bought it, I can't leave it alone; I will be thousands into it after a short period, and that is just hard on the finances and the relationship. Ahhh, growing up sucks...

I saw that on collector car trader. I am too far away though and since I am going to look at one tomorrow closer to home I say go for it.

Don't forget you can find dirtbikes anywhere at any time. They are not making any more of these blazers and they are getting more and more expensive.
