Re: 70 ratrod
Nice truck, that is almost exactly what I have planned for my 67, http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=1#post1991275Im gonna use wide whites and chevy truck rallys painted red with no rings or caps, but if anyone knows how to put some baby moons on a truck rally id probably do that.

Re: 70 ratrod
I want to say first off great truck. I"m also going for the RAT ROD look. They just started a Rat Rod thread under pics make over. They Photo Edited my pic and I'm running with it.....I'm working on the body work and getting prep for paint. How did you paint it or did you just primer?

Re: 70 ratrod
I used Rustolium rattle cans to get my truck one color. But this spring, I am going to do all the body work, then repaint it using John Deere "Blitz Black" and a roller.
Yes, i said a roller. For those who haven't looked or heard, do a search for "roller method" and look at the Charger that was painted that way. For about $50, my truck will be DONE outside, then the bed will be lined. |

Re: 70 ratrod
i do have to say that my truck is a 50-footer. I did not want to do a lot of body work because i wanted to keep true to the ratrod way. I even just used a primer because most of my money at the time went to the rims and tires. this was all done in my garage and it was my first time painting with a real paint gun.

Re: 70 ratrod
The issues I've had with a primer is it's a ***** it clean and it doesn't bead water.
I'm not doing a ton of body work, but my truck isn't that bad to start with. |
