Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
He's just a super little brother. He's in honors classes, the star athlete where he's growing up and he is my role model. I know backwards, but i'm his role model also(lol, i hope!) He's the kid i wanted to be(maybe i push him too hard, but......). lol! n2trux i used the upper two leaves also(but i cut the holding tabs and drilled them instead of bending them).

Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
Haven't really been going to town on it lately, but i got a bit done today here are pics of them and the shop. I got the tank that i am going to use, i just have to fabricate it to fit. Got my new used tire. Finished painting the heads and cleaned up the springs, retainers and locks.

Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
Damn! That is one VERY lucky kid and you are an awesome older brother. He definetly won't have any trouble with the ladies. Makes me jealous though, I wish my truck back in high school was that bad ass.

Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
if my little brother wasn't so much into looks i would keep the paint as is lol, but he would have a tantrum. i like the patina look with big wheels anyway.

Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
damn thats one lucky little brother. im 17 and ive been working on my truck(s) for almost 2 years and still dont have a drivable truck. i will though when i get a new radiator, water pump, fan shroud, wiring harness, front brake calipers and everything that has to do with the rear brakes. the engine has less than 5000 miles on it since a rebuild but the truck set for 2-4 years not touched once so it seems every time i fix something, something else breaks. its a pain in the A**. anyways real good work. cant wait to see it finished.

Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
How are you going to keep your brother from wrapping that thing around a tree? If I was 16 and i had a truck that fast it would never be below 40mph in town. btw the kid my dad sold his 1974 nova hatchback 350 that he special ordered in '74 to wrapped it around a telephone poll

Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
i wrapped my 70 monte carlo around a telephone pole, but that was a traction problem. things happen! insurance won't give me anything close to what i will be into the truck either. he's a responsible kid on his go karts and 4 wheelers. so, we shall see.

Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
My eldest brother raced 4 wheelers and that knowledge has kept him from getting into several wrecks, like when he lost traction in the rain going around a turn to fast. I also rode 4 wheelers as well, and that has helped, like when the back end came around when I was passing someone in the rain.

Re: Little Brothers 74 Build Up!
yeah but this was a hatchback so the weight was right over the wheels they only made the hatch backs 2 years so it was kinda rare especially since he special ordered it but what ever if he wrecks it it'll be his fault
