The best truck body I've seen(and have) for 1/18 is the Dakota that is meant for the Micro RS4, but I have it adapted to my brushless RC18T. |

Re: Check out this model of a 72
72 custom camper,,nice models..special k i would kill for a model of that camper...i build alot of different stuff,,got more stalled and in prgress models than finished ones,,,heres a link to my fotli album with what i got pics of..i did build a 60 chevy into a 4x4 with working coil spring suspension,,turned out alright for not knowing what i was doing...if it was real it would have i think 55 inches of flex..got a 60 chevy im body dropping,,c-ntched frame,,454 i think..the 72 chevy i got im turning into a 68 gmc when i get to it..
http://public.fotki.com/His-n-Hers/southernmutts_junk/ right now im into a 55 chevy cameo pickup,,that im making into a custom from the 60's..its a big headache,,but im going to finished it in the next month or so.. this one is pushing the limits of my building skill past anything i have tried so far, it has close to 9 scale inches removed so far,,but i still got to chop the top..i got anything from rat rods,, to prostreet to strret rods...i have only built one box stock model in my life,,most of them get dropped,,just started wiring the enigines and plumbing them a couple of yrs ago..basicly im just a hacker..

Re: Check out this model of a 72
Thanks for posting those pics of the camper 72cc. I really had that one a LONG time ago. To tell the truth, I don't think I was able to get it done. I must have only been 10 or so and really early in my modeling. You know, more glue on your hands than on the plastic.
Doesn't it have appliances and stuff on the inside?

Re: Check out this model of a 72
Here's my 69 with a scratch built slide in camper.
This is what almost made me quit building models. It is 95% scratch built and I have right at 300 hours in building it.

That is amazing. What material did you use for all the flat surfaces on both the campers?

Re: Check out this model of a 72
Both my 72's are ex slide in camper trucks. And they are 1/2 tons. The ornge one we got it in 73 due to they realized it wasnt big enoughas it was just a stock 72 with stock springs and a sway bar. My green and white also used to be a slide in truck. When I bought it it still had the camper support plates on the cowl. But this one had 3/4 ton hd rear springs and dual saddle tanks but no sway bar, interesting ride I bet.
