Re: What did you get done this weekend???
I actually got to work on the 68 for an hour or two this weekend , tidied up the interior a bit , and pulled the buddy bucket. I'm gonna install a race seat for this season , gotta be 200 lbs lighter , lol. I'm way behind , racing starts in April , at least test and tune , still need to swap heads , cam , rear end , trans, etc . Got my race prepped t400 home yesterday , woo hoo , can't wait .

Re: What did you get done this weekend???
sent my heads off to the machine shop, had another body guy come over to the house to give me a price to paint babyblue (candy red), changed the wifes tire that cost me $200 since she busted the tire hitting the curb and then 2 top it off almost had a major wreck. thought I missed the car til I got home and the wifes car had 3 little marks on the front bumper that came right off with some soap and water. guess they thought we didn't hit either since they didn't stop. that was it ready to go back to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: What did you get done this weekend???
It was 55degrees here in NewEngland on Saturday - it was nice working with the door open
Got the outer bedside stripped on the truck - my wife helped me out with it I asked her before I posted the photos we actually used some paint stripper to get most of the red color off the truck as stripping it with the DA was not easy. It took us the better part of the day on Saturday (with a stop for lunch and a couple buddies stopped by to B.S.) Suprisingly though there were only a couple very small spots of Bondo and a couple small areas of surface rust - the worst part of the bed is the "aux fuel door" that was installed and the "snaps" for a tonnau cover @ one point.

Re: What did you get done this weekend???
Polished my new Longhorn wheels (thanks Bob...progress pic below), made two good inner fenders from three, undercoated them, fixed my new replacement Longhorn tailgate and started sanding the last piece of sheet metal for the '67 ratrod.

Re: What did you get done this weekend???
Saturday it was too cold and windy so I did some house work and internet surfing.
Sunday it was warmer so I was determined to work on my 71 C-10 LWB. Replaced the fuel pump suction rubber hose that was colapsed. Replaced the distributor cap, rotor and coil. The old cap was shot and the rotor had a hole burned in it. Removed the camper shell from the C-10 and put it on the 92 GMC K-3500. Finally I put some new mirrors on the C-10, low profile stainless steel towing type. I know you all like pictures so when I get a chance I will take some pictures of my trucks and post them. Re: What did you get done this weekend???
I replaced the trailing arm xmem with a drop ECE xmem I got from a boardmember (thx john@thepier) and installed the rear shock mount relocating kit also from ECE. I got the A-arms, spindles and springs on the front but when I went to install the shocks I noticed that the bushing on the shock end was too big to fit in the mount on the A-arm...yay! Put some paint on the rearend and called it a day. Pics will be in my build thread in the next day or so.

Re: What did you get done this weekend???
As for me, well i wasnt home most of the time. Had an exhaust leak on the header flange. Started my truck up at 10pm and threw some copper rtv on the new gaskets and tightened them down. Easy work, but wanted to say something ---Andy

Re: What did you get done this weekend???
saturday morning, went and bought shocks and brake pads for the front end of my 71. saturday evening, went to sears and expanded my arsenal with a 4" grinder, 3/8 air ratchet, 1/2" impact wrench, 1/2" air hammer, 33 gallon tank, and a set of impact sockets. tried em out sunday evening, and removed the bolts down the passenger side of my spare bed in about 20 minutes (a friend helped my by putting pressure on the top side of those "domed" bolts). i did the driver side solo with just hand ratches, and it probably took me 8 hours or more.

Re: What did you get done this weekend???
primered the longhorn bedside that I made up. I took the extra front section
from a longhorn beside that I recoverd from the recking yard and mated it to the front section of my fleetside bed. I also had to patch the hole from where the PO had saddle tanks installed. I made the addition a fraction of an inch longer to help close up the gap, to the cab as it comes from the factory. I hope to start the passenger this week.

I stripped the paint off the inner fender wells and started to smooth the front marker lamps.

Re: What did you get done this weekend???
I didn't get home to work on the truck last weekend....or the weekend before ,but I didn't post up what I got done the last time I worked on it so here it is.
After sectioning inside bed wall I needed to reconnect the inner and outer skins around the wheel well and this is how I did it.Found more rust this "good" bedside is lookin worse all the time. This is how I fixed it,didn't want to but I had to do something. The good news is that I should fly through the other side as it is in great shape.(my kingdom for a cel that takes decent pics!!)

Re: What did you get done this weekend???
Removed a 4-bolt 350 w/forged steel crank from a C-50, then refilled my gas tank since someone at the junk yard thought they needed my gas more than me.
