Here's a couple of pics of the driver side door panel, with and without the grill cloth inserts.

Re: New to the site, pics of my 84 GMC Truck
Here are some pics of the rear suspension, a couple people asked to see it. I live in the city of Maricopa, about 20 miles south of Phoenix. As you can see it the pics I can't seem to get the rear end to stop leaking. It actually leaks from the fill bolt toward the top front. Motor and trans leak a little too, I'm hopefully just about to cure those.

Very cool truck! Thanks for sharing with lots of pictures. Did it by any chance have a Guns & Roses cd in it?

Re: New to the site, pics of my 84 GMC Truck
The carpet kit from LMC is a nice true grey, seems to go well with the other greys in the cab. I had to cut the carpet down the middle since the bottom portion of the console is welded to the trans tunnel. This made for some akward angles for the pre-molded carpet.
The headliner from LMC is nice too. I got the ABS plastic molded one with foam backed grey cloth. I had to trim about 1/2" off the back side of the headliner but this might have something to do with my trim pieces. The trim pieces are screwed in slightly different places than stock. I then tapped out every trim screw hole and replaced them with stainless allens to match the stainless allens I put in the dash. In the third pic you can see my new CSTMYZD license plate, "Praise the Lowered" Frame and license plate lights.

Re: New to the site, pics of my 84 GMC Truck
that is a nice truck, i am not crazy about it being tubed. You have to love the TPI, that is the best looking engine you could swap. Good luck with what you are going to do with it.

Re: New to the site, pics of my 84 GMC Truck
This truck was always intended to be a fun cruiser but it did spend a few Friday nights at the drag strip for fun. My plans are to make it more Pro Touring instead of Pro Street. When my budget allows I plan on putting 20" rims all the way around with the new Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R tire 29 tall by 18 inches wide for the rear. Here's a pic of the tire and the right size rim. This should give the truck a more modern look while getting away from the bias ply tires.

Re: New to the site, pics of my 84 GMC Truck
Yes the front wheels will be 20" too. I'm planning on Budnik wheels they make a really nice product and they will custom make the backspacing for whatever you need. I have not decided on a specific rim just yet, the one above is a mickey thompson rim but they don't offer it in a 20" front rim only 18" and I don't personally think it is big enough. This F150 was in the 2006 SEMA booth and it has the 18" in the front and 20" in the rear. Not my favorite look, the front rim size actually looked worse in person than in this picture.
