Re: my 44 needs help

It`s a ball-ramp design that runs open until activated. It`s activated by wheel speed. So,it lets the wheel spin, then locks-in.That`s where the trouble comes.I`ve had good service from the one in my`91 Suburban with 35s and a semi-floater.I don`t wheel it.But,I get in mud and let the rear twirl and push it out w/o locking in the hubs.It takes not giving all you got while spinning and it`s best if both tires are in the same soup.

Did the rear axle break?I thought just the Gov-Lok blew in the rear and the axles broke in the "locked" front.I`m confused,I guess.
The whole thing had me confused too...........I was trying to figure out how he had a GM Corporate Gov-lock in a D44 front axle?

It's all better now, I will just go back to sleep.................
