Re: What did you get done? 3/18/07
I got my seat in - well, almost - it's out of a '91 regular cab - I cut 1.5" out of the middle and it's just the right height. Still gotta bolt it in - none of the holes line up, so I'm making the bottom of my cab a little swiss-cheesy, but I'll weld 'em up when I change out the carpet someday.

Re: What did you get done? 3/18/07
My truck has finally melted out of the snow enough to work on. I pulled the gas tank out of the cab, eradicated the remaining rodents, started pulling up fibergalss patch work from the floorboard and I finished seting up the gears in my 12-bolt and installing the new billet pinion yoke. I just need to sent the pinion preload and she is done.

Re: What did you get done? 3/18/07
OOOO PURTY. What valve covers are those? Got started on some custom door panels Theyll be trimmed, shapped, then covered in tweed probly. What ever shade for cream the seats come in will dictate the panels color. Custom armrests, kinda like the Copperhead ones that stretched over part of the door handle. Probly do some tuck and roll across it too. And my truck was broken into... But its kinda hard to steal a truck that has no engine, trans, or steering wheel... go see my ranting thread about that one. |

Re: What did you get done? 3/18/07
Got my '72 3/4 ton chassis in the garage and started taking it apart and cleaning it up, lots 'o rust, but not too deep. I did find out I really need a bigger compressor, the 20 gal craftsman has a hard time keeeping up with a air tools for cleaning up the frame.

Didn't do anything to the '68, waiting for my radiator to arrive, but I did change the oil and rotate the tires on my F&$d ranger.

Got my new headers and valve covers on. Still need to get it to the muffler shop for the remaining exhaust. Almost drivable, I can't wait!

Re: What did you get done? 3/18/07
The grandprixs are a bit sportier, but I love them old Pontiac Sedans. Good on their feet for their size. Is it the GTP/GXP or what ever the top performance one was?
Shiney and ornage valve covers, their perfect for my orange truck. |
