Re: ? Cab Lights ?
The lights are also refered to as ICC lights. They`ve been required, but GM didn`t have them designed-in until`69.
If you guys like newer type cab markers, you must nean`88-up,since the lights were the same through that year and through`91 on V/R series.

Re: ? Cab Lights ?
I purchased a 1968 GMC dually camper conversion, low mileage, completely original with the nicest shutting doors that I have ever found. Anyway, it had cab clearance lights without the roof bulges, dealer add-on? Longhorn Man, you are meaning side marker lights without bulbs though, right?

Re: ? Cab Lights ?
Cab lights required on 10,000#+ trucks, which would be dual rear.It was just upto the owners to bother with making it legal.Trucks weren`t inspected back then to register.

Interesting, I don't think that I have had a single '68 with operating side marker lights. They have all just been lenses with solid backs. I was always under the impression that the lit up side markers didn't arrive until '69.

Re: ? Cab Lights ?
I think they look right at home on a one ton, especially with a flatbed or dumpbed. On anything else.... it depends on the overall look of the truck....

Re: ? Cab Lights ?
they weren't inspected, but there were federal guidelines that the OEMs had to follow.

Our '77 flatbed-dually "3-horn" had them, he was named for 2 of them being broken. Click for pic in Signature..

Re: ? Cab Lights ?
Mike, that project's really coming along. Gonna have it ready for James Dean?
I scored a set off a 72 GMC while in Tennessee July 4th weekend. Wife's uncle GAVE them to me, but I had to remove them. I'm planning on using them on the 72 shortie.
