I cleaned some more on the 3/4 ton chassis, and then had to mow the 5 acres, we got lots of rain and the green stuff just shot up, had to chop it down, and played with the new pup.

Re: What did you get done? 4/01/07

dragged a junk 72 longbed fleetside out of the woods Saturday for the cab and 5 lug disc setup (I'll be selling the 5 lug setup soon). Got the bed off, cleaned the cab, got the seat and tank out (they were the only things left in it). Hope to have the cab off soon and in the garage, everything else besides the 5 lug setup is getting scrapped.

Re: What did you get done? 4/01/07

I spent all day Saturday tweaking the Holley 4bbl on my 250 only to come to the realization that I have a vacuum leak somewhere on the manifold.

I did manage to get it running smooth enough to make speed passes by the brother in laws place while he toyed with his rust bucket '68. Got to love headers with glass packs welded to the collectors.

Removed and replaced the fuel pump in the '71. Replaced all of the rubber hoses for the fuel line and evap line from the tank to the front. Disconnected and removed the fuel lines from a saddle tank in the bed to the selector valve. Replaced the 20+ year old oil filter and refilled the crankcase. Removed the upper and lower radiator hoses for replacement. On the road to starting it up for the first time in over 20 years.

Re: What did you get done? 4/01/07

I had a pretty productive weekend, considering the rainy weather. I got my K-20 rolling chassis setting on tires again. I finished the front brakes, and mocked up the rear disc on the Eaton ho52. I just need to figure how I want to do the rear brake lines, then I'll be ready to paint the frame.

Re: What did you get done? 4/01/07

I had spring break last week, but I didn't do much on the truck. Just did some sanding, installed my B&M shifter and finished putting my rear brakes together. Had to go to pick your part to get some parts for the brakes and got the five finger discount. I didn't steal, they didn't bother charging me for little clips for the brakes.

Re: What did you get done? 4/01/07

Road Trip....

Number of stops- 2

Hours in truck- 5

Money spent on gas- $20

Money spent on parts- $250 (front end, rear axles, set of rally wheels)

Scoring a '75 front end and rear axles to convert to 5 lug front disc? Priceless

Re: What did you get done? 4/01/07

I cleaned and sanded and primered and painted all the parts for my power brake conversion. I am waiting on a master cylinder rebuild kit and I need to find the one linkage pin I seem to have lost and then I'll make the swap. I can't wait!

Re: What did you get done? 4/01/07

I converted a solid pickup door that nobody wanted into a burb door for my project... Not bad. Only took about 3 1/2 hours start to finish... Sorry for crappy pics, cell phone camera!
