Re: WTB smooth cowl

This is the cowl finished bodyworked, all that is left is primer tomorrow and then off to PKJ. Hard to take pictures in my cramped garage with truck and Blazer in there. Will post more pics after it is primed and ready to ship.

Re: WTB smooth cowl

I am really interested but would like to keep my wipers but lose the vents. Please post pictures of the one that you were going to leave the wiper holes on.

Do you have anymore cowls left so i can save on shipping or do I need to send mine to you?

Once I see the shots of the one to verify I like the one with wipers as much as the one without I would like to be put in line for one.

Thanks

No rush I would like to get in line though to have it done. So when you get a pic it would be great.

Re: WTB smooth cowl

Okay, the WORLDS FIRST mail order shaved cowl panel is done. It will go to work with me tomorrow to get primed and then off to PKJ. Will post pics after it is primered and then on to the next one. Should go faster now. Had to arrange my shop (read garage) to build these.

Re: WTB smooth cowl

Looks good, but I want to keep my windshield wiper holes, been caught in the rain too many times. SInce you did away with the mounting holes on the top of the cowl will it make it vibrate at highway speeds?

Re: WTB smooth cowl

No it is still very solid since a portion of the actual firewall still touches where the screw holes would be on the bottom of the cowl. Even after removing all of the screws across the front of the firewall and the bolts on the ends, I still had to pry this off of the firewall. I have seen these done before and have not heard of any problems. I will leave yours EXTD with the wiper holes and no squirter holes, right?

Re: WTB smooth cowl

Can I go ahead and ship you my cowl and have it there for when you get around to it. It would not matter to me if it is a couple of months until you get some free time to get around to it.

If so PM me your address and the best way to send it to you.

What kind of packaging have you seen that works good for the shipping?
