Re: How to remove rusted exhaust, the redneck way.
Did you just yank it enough to break it loose or did you just keep on going until it was completely gone?
Either way.... |

The latter of the two, Pyro.
There's enough of my skin on that muffler to warrant a full-on demolition style removal, so I did so....

Re: How to remove rusted exhaust, the redneck way.
Haha, reminds me how I removed the rusted-out ghetto-rigged dual exhaust from my truck - it was winter and I ain't got no garage, but I do have a big-ass car with a tow hitch  Several wacks with the 5-lb "engineering" hammer to make the rust a little more brittle, move truck to the middle of the driveway, move Lincoln perpendicular to truck, tie one end of tow-strap around the tailpipe, tie other end of tow-strap to Lincoln's hitch, jump in Lincoln and floor the gas pedal - whole removal of both pipes took like 5 minutes, yanked them out with mufflers, tails, and all

Robb (tnblazerk5) has a story fairly close to that....Robb's 1971 Monte Carlo Story
