Re: Can anyone ID this truck?

10 or 15 years ago I would've said a patina'd truck looks like junk, but ya know what? That look has kinda grown on me. Sure, I love a nice slick professional looking paint job too,but the patina look has a certain character all its own.....kinda like a "working man's truck". I can't help but wonder how many of these surface rust laden trucks weren't purposely painted that way professionally to give it that weathered look.

My truck started out with factory medium olive green, was re-painted the same color by a PO. When I bought it I went to a olive drab green military theme. I sanded that down in strategic areas, exposing the zinc colored primer, then primed it gray, and finished it off with a rattle can paint job that looks similar to the GM factory light green that was popular on these old trucks.

Man, when all those layers begin to peel and flake off, and oxidation does its thing, she is gonna be one patina'd beauty.

Re: Can anyone ID this truck?

Looks almost exactly like member's (1low71) truck. Check out his truck, it looks like they could be twins. 1low71 lives in Ohio.
