Re: Heartbroken
The tire guy could have bent the wheel if he used the tire machine with the screw in center that goes into the hub. The machine can catch the lip and bend the crap out of a steel wheel. I doubt anything a shipper could have done would bend the hub and the lip, not really possible unles the shipping box was destroyed. I am leaning on the tire guy, if it is only an once or two, bolt it on the back and move on, $98 is cheap for another.

Re: Heartbroken
$98 is 1/2 price if the
Shipper even agrees 2 it Not to mention shipping As for the tire guy, I Was standing there the Whole time watching him like a hawk, he did not Bend it nor did his tire Machine. Its warped and Yes I have done tires Myself a lot over the Years and its a bad rim *Edit, 2nd e-mail went out today, been 7 days and no responce

Re: Heartbroken
Update - They told me at WV to F#%* myself, they are not going to honor
the damage, they are not willing to meet me 1/2 way on a replacement, so I ordered a spare today and of course they are out of stock I guess I'll put the bent one on and see how she drives. I can always use the bent rim as the spare incase I need it. Really disappointed in their lack of service

Re: Heartbroken
Is that the exact words that they used. I think I would try getting the wheel from someone else like Summit or Jeg's. That way they are the ones that will handle any problems if any occur. The big out outfits like that have a lot more pull then a single customer. I am certain that they would not tell them to F themselves. It would be more like " Yes sir, may I have another" by the time they got done with them.

Re: Heartbroken
I actually ordered my replacement from Summit and told them I was going
to balance the bare wheel 1st. I told them if it is more than .75 off it will be coming back. (The other 3 rims are at .75) The guy said No problem

Re: Heartbroken
I think it's Wheel Vintiques. I've had good luck with the ones I ordered from Summit Racing. But,... I've never had to deal with them directly.

Re: Heartbroken
Summit has great customer service. They have a little more pull to return junk parts to the companies that produced them than us. Good luck
