Re: Modern wheels - Classic 4x4

I really like Welds. Stone crushers come to mind first. I had a set of the centerlines one time with the star in the center and the ribs around the rim. Those were my favorite but can't get them in the size I need.

I like the stock painted ones. I got a set of 5 chrome H2 wheels with bead locks and almost new all terrains cheap and put them on my '97 burb. I think they're to flashy, but I'm gonna sell it soon. I think the painted ones would look good on a vintage truck.

Re: Modern wheels - Classic 4x4

Like this Earl:

H1 Recenterd with inserts (double bead lock)

I bought just the pressed centers from USA6x6 and PacificFab here in Cali did the re-centering for me.

FYI ~ If any of you EVER decide to buy from USA6x6 do NOT ASSUME they will get your order to you fast, they take for EVER, I mean MONTHS to get wheels or parts. Some guys have waited 6months only to have problems with the order and ship um back and forth...took me 2 months to get 5 centers and 5 inserts..when my order came it only came with 4 centers and 5 inserts..another two months down the road my 5th center finnaly showed up and I had to PM him week after week so he wouldn't foget about me.
Great products w/shooty customer service.....

Re: Modern wheels - Classic 4x4

Ya I wish I had pics of them on my burb house fire took care of that. I got my wheels from them one was not centered verry well and wobled I ended up geting one for half price from him and used the messed up one as a spair. It took for ever to get the first 4 but the 5th came quick. It seams like they are 50 50 with customer service. I know Stacy David from trucks was going to use him for Sgt rock and it got so bad he went to some one else for the rockwells and didnt say that the rims came from him on the show.

Re: Modern wheels - Classic 4x4

Crazy really, they could have so many more customers if they could streamline their production and stop making so many mistakes with what they build. People love their stuff once they get it and it is built right, it's getting past thoes two obsticals that kills the deal...

I've got to say... to me, most of these modern wheels look absolutely terrible on the older trucks.

Re: Modern wheels - Classic 4x4

I am not a fan of new wheels on old trucks... Just don't look right to me. I like blacked wheels tho Wagons rallies or old turbins or slotts...... Not much of a fan of large wheels ether but to each there own

i am deciding between 18s and 20s might go 20s cuz its not gonna have 35s on it forever and i got a buddy that works at schwabys and he said they had to send a set of those wheels back that were 17s becuase they looked so weird suposedly they look alot better bigger idk i guess all the spokes were to tiny on the 17 but its all up to your taste i guess he just knew i wouldnt like it
