Re: Best muffler sound

I have glasspacks. I think they are at least 10 years old. Right after the motor swap I got on it hard. Truck left a huge rust cloud. I think I sand blasted a few cars behind me. In a week or so I will be installing summit turbo mufflers.

Re: Best muffler sound

Here's some hooker aero chambers:
http://www.personal.psu.edu/jxu109/t...ro_chamber.wav

I've been accused by many friends of having the loudest vehicle they've ever heard (except with open headers)

I love the sound, but it is definitely a noise maker. I plan on going to magnaflow.

Re: Best muffler sound

How about having the best of both worlds ? Have it very quiet to stop annoying the neighbors, or have it extremely loud with the flip of a switch.

I put a set of QTP electric cutouts on my '67.

After you get to the link, go to the Z06 QTEC Demo video.

http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/Media/index.php

After I saw this particular video, I bought my cutouts !!! Too COOL !!!

Re: Best muffler sound

Luv2xlr8 has a sound clip of his magnaflows and they sound awesome. Someone should pm him to get him to post it here.

Dion also has a great sounding clip of his exhaust that needs to be posted - not sure of what mufflers he is running.

Here's a clip on my 82 Z28. It has a 540HP 383 with Hedman headers, 3" exhaust with a Flowmaster H-pipe and 1 chamber Flowmasters.
