I voted 67-68, but I like them all. I think all years have their own personality traits that make them what they are. I personally wouldn't change the front end of a 69-70 to either. I would leave it what it is.

Same goes for GMC's. I wouldn't change a GMC front end to a Chevy front because I liked it better. Having a GMC would only make it better seeing that they aren't seen as much as the Chevys.

It's funny to see which truck is "favored" today. Back in the day, GM felt the 67-68 nose was too car like and not aggressive looking enough, so they squared up the nose to make the truck look more masculine and aggressive.

I can't remember his name, but that's essentially what the lead designer of the truck said about the change in '69 when he did an interview with classic trucks last year.

I didnt even notice or no there was that big a difference in the trucks.
someone post a side by side of a 67 vs a 71 front end so i can see what this difference is.?

Another eerie similarity............ Chevy went to a more blunt, agreesive, squarish front end in 03. The grill in the squarish trucks was again changed in '06....

As for the GMC.... minor grill changes... same fenders and hood from '99-07...

It could be like asking which of your kids you like best. That's a hard one to answer, any '67 to '72 Chevy or GMC are great looking trucks. All the answers here are opinions, there is no right or wrong just a lot of love for this classic body style.

Depends on the truck I like the 71-72 on 4WDs but I like the 67-68 better on the 2WDs. dont know how I can vote on this one. But i think over all I like my 4 head lights.

I am partial to the 67/68 grills, and FORD haters they're the no. one selling trucks in America for the past millinium for a reason, also that blur that went by you was probably a GT Mustang. Just my opinion. Thank you.

Let's get a little something straight.... The F-150 typically outsells the Silverado by a thin margin, but when GM trucks are considered as a whole, GM has been outselling Ford for something like 60 or 70 years

I have always liked the 71-72 the best. The blacked out grille looks tough to me and I've got no problem with the plastic personally.

Yep, keep believing everything you see on TV. The Ford nameplate barely outsells the Chevy nameplate every year, and GMC is not part of the equation. Chevy and GMC sales together dwarf the sales of the Fords, and we all know they are the same truck, sans a few cosmetic differences. But hey, they gotta have something to brag about.
