hey bbeep, i seen a old shorty f*rd bus at a car show last weekend and they had 2 benches that ran along the walls for the seats in back. it looked realy good.

Cool, now we need that driving it down the road towards home photo.

I could see the interior done up with a couch across the back, a couple of swivel captains chairs and a small fridge tucked out of the way. The drop down video screen is interesting too along with a good sound system.

It might get pretty popular with the guys you run around with though. They will do the OH yea, we can all ride the shortbus to dinner together.

ON THE ROAD! Drives like a 78 GMC Dually! Next I will hope to find some 19 plus inch motorhome wheels. I found out that if I install 3/4 ton hubs ( which I bought), it will bring the wheels in 3.5 inches on BOTH sides! I have to buy taller wheels to allow clearance in the front. Eventually I will lower it (bags?) on shorten the door.

Rear pic. Got some red glass lights that actually say STOP when I hit the brakes. Looking for some round red glass lights for the 'night lights', the small yellow are turn signal. Hope to find some of those with the turn signal arrow in them.

This winter I may install a fresh 550 hp 396 in place of the stock 200hp 454, so big tires might be cool.

hey 1-ton-o fun!!! I have a 71 SS 454! paid $1266 for it in 1981 from the original owner. I washed it for her when I was 11 years old. All original, even have the wheels.

Cuttin the step off and raising it to flush with the body. Ordered 3-inch dropped spindles. Will post pics-hopefully by the end of September!

that bus is awesome! if i had a big family or extra room i'd love to have it. I think it would look sick painted yellow and on bags! The SS is super clean!!

Thanks for the kind words. Fun story about the Chevelle: When I was 11 years old, a woman down the street from me bought it new. I used to wash it for her. I bought it in 1981 fior $1266! Anyway, we drove it for 5 years and had to sell it to pay FOR THE SAME DAUGHTER TO BE BORN that is getting married!($7600) It had 82k miles. A friend of my wife saw it in Portland at a Porsche/Ferrari dealer. Here was one blue Chevy with 88k miles, 12 years later in 1998 ($19000). It had had 4 owners that only drove it 6k miles. I was able to buy it back with the same paint, upholstery, even the paint on the motor I put on it! It will NOT be sold again. It just turned over 100k, and I turned down a sh**load of money for it.
