Re: Bucket seats and shoulder belts
Jeff- I have both styles that are pictured in this thread. I got a set of the "rubber" ones like jay_shy has from ClassicBowties (Mel). He told me that he had seen this style in several Blazers. I also have the ones that Blazerman posted that are black and hard plastic.
This is good info! Now I can finally install these things

Re: Bucket seats and shoulder belts
To add to this, I believe the rubber ones to be correct for someone with utility buckets in a blazer. They should mount to the side of the brackets somewhere just below the upholstery on the side where there would normally be a console in a regular bucket seat truck. A side note for someone needing rubber ones, is that they were put in vans of the same vintage and early 73+ style vans. I have a medium blue set out of a van. This is why I come to the conclusion these would be perfect for holding the female end to the utility bucket blazers out there and should be considered correct for them. The black plastic style, should be considered to be correct for trucks and in a rare case, blazers with shoulder harnesses and bucket/console combos. Trevor

Re: Bucket seats and shoulder belts
I still believe there is another retainer that is correct for these trucks..I've seen a pic of them but never actually found any. I did once see an article in a Truckin magazine that mentioned them as being very rare because they broke very easily. I think the ones shown that were sold as an accessory for the cars are about as close as you can get but still not correct.
The rubber kind are probably the most durable as they are molded in colors matching the interior color.
