My wife loves my truck but (fortunately) refuses to drive it. Gotta give her credit, she's always there with her credit card when I need to spend more money! (She earns a lot more than I do!) She does get bored at car shows though. When she met me I was driving an attention seeking Alfa Romeo Alfa Sud green cloverleaf though, so she is used to it!

My ex-wife (that b!tch) absolutely loved the cars and trucks I have built, she just didn't want me to spend anytime with them or hear me talking shop. Thank God she's down the road. The girlfriend is into whatever makes me happy, so she says! When it comes to any spare time I have, outside of work or sleep, she wants it to be with her only. Hopefully, she'll come around. All in all, I think most of them understand where our passion lies for these old rigs and if they really thought about it, would rather we tinkered with our vehicles instead of some of the others things we could be out doing!

To this day, I can not talk her into driving my truck! This could be a good thing.

Its just the opposite with my wife, she loves the 71 cheyenne that I left in Seattle. She has even went out to buy her own repair manual for it to diagnose problems since Im not around.She thinks its cool when guys come up to ask is it for sale, probably thinking they're dealing with a stupid woman only to find out that she knows quite abit about the truck and its worth.At first she was leary about all my vehicles but now she come around. May be in time yours will too...

It is a replica of a 1957 speedster with 160 horses of dual carb power. It weighs in at just over 1700 lbs when full of fuel. As you can imagine it will fly. My wife has a lead foot and really turns heads when she is out cruising her anniversary gift.

When I first towed my truck home and pushed it into the garage almost five years ago, my wife hated my truck and said, "You paid $1200 dollars for THAT?!", but now she loves it, and when I mention getting rid of it for a 2WD Blazer, she says, "I don't even think so!". She never complains when I spend money on the vehicles and she even said at one time she wouln't mind getting rid of her Mustang if I built her a purple 67-72. I would say I am very lucky, indeed.

Well this is a long story~! I'll keep it short. When I went to bid on the truck on e-crap she said "its either me or the truck" well that was 1 year ago this past June. The truck has been a major money pit same as the girl. Got rid of the girl for 3 months. Got girl back. Anyone want to buy a truck?
