all that matters is that you believe it is worth what you paid, looks to be worth quite a bit to me

Re: got it home last night, what do you think?
Well I have to admit the pictures I posted were shortly after it was drug out of the shed, black steel wheels and a 40 year old camper on it. All I can say now is I am glad it is in my driveway!
Again, thanks for all positive comments!

Too bad it didn't come with anything in the gun rack. Nice truck none the less.

Re: got it home last night, what do you think?
It did come with some old duck calls in the glove box. However, nothing in the gun rack. I have plenty to hang in the window!
Greasemonkey. I wont argue the black steel wheels. I have all 5 that came with it and the hubcaps. I just wanted something shiny on it..... again, thanks for all the positive remarks!

Re: got it home last night, what do you think?
Leave it man, if you paint it, it'll just be another white truck, roll it like it is. Well, you could lower it a bit!

Re: got it home last night, what do you think?
what is that pigeon poop patina? or barn swallow? I parked my rambler in a barn for five years and the farm hand stole the tarp off it and the birds ruin the paint I figure 17 years it woulda looked like that!

Re: got it home last night, what do you think?
I thought you would appreicate that truck, I was reading your post and seen your truck and I had to register so I could send you pics of mine, I thought I gave way too much money for mine, but after reading several post and looking at some build threads, I believe it was worth $1300,
great looking truck Randy, TN |

Re: got it home last night, what do you think?
you know guy's the value of these truck's is based on a lot of thing's , here where I live they are just non existant ! and other than a long distance internet buy I did not have much option's , so when I was at the tenn rod run in pigeon forge two year's ago and found my 67 I made the choice to get it even though I paid to much for it , I wanted a certain truck in a certain condition and it fit the bill !!
so when buying a truck if you are happy then that is all that matter's , and the truck in this thread is one nice truck !!

Re: got it home last night, what do you think?
I would have gladly paid more than that in a heartbeat for that truck here in Colorado! And I would have been sportin' wood too!
Sweet looking truck! I have never been one for the patina'd look, but imagining that one lowered and slightly raked would look killer!

Re: got it home last night, what do you think?
Why is it that the guys who want patina cant find a truck with it & the guys who want to paint em up shiny take a perfectly good patina truck & sand em down ???
Just crazy to me Nice truck... at least for now Last edited by Spray-Bomb; 01-19-2008 at 04:12 AM. |

Re: got it home last night, what do you think?
Mine isnt painted yet. I am gathering parts for a V8/auto swap first. Then lower it and it looks like paint will be last. You still have time to change my mind.....
