Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
There's been a few in our driveway over the years.
My wife had an 83 2wd long bed long before we had a computer or digicams. Next was my 87; ( DD for probably 7-8 years + or -?) Wife also had an 88 4x4 excab 2.8 5 sp in here somewhere. Also sold before computer. I think it's still runnin around though. Then my wife's 95 Blazer. Her DD few quite a few years; Bought this one (89) for 100 bucks with a blown up 4.3 with plans of swapping the 350 out of my 87 so I could have an excab. Plan never went into effect because I couldn't ever get the title for it. It made it way to the crusher last fall. Still have the bed though! Anybody need one? And last is my next DD. Hopefully will be driving this one this summer. 98 Sonoma (dead 2.2 auto) It's gonna recieve a heart transplant when/if I can ever get my shop cleaned out enough to get it in there... This is the donor for the new "heart" for the Sonoma; (TPI305, 700r4)

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
Have not posted in a while, but wanted to share my S-10s. Not pictured is the 87 Blazer, that was a former Florida state beach patrol truck. It had half of Daytona beach's sand on top of the gas tank.
In no order .The white 87 was my first truck, and my first lowered truck. I used to autocross it. The tech guys put me in D Street Prepared because of the suspension. A 4 cyl. S-10 in the same class as Corvettes, but I had fun. The gold 82 I bought from a friend, he bought it from the orginal owner, who did not want it sold to anybody else. My friend bought it back we started a V-8 swap and the project stalled. I shaved the bumper and being proud of the work I clear coated the bare metal. The maroon 99 was my DD until some 18 year old ran a stop sign. It's totaled but I have my wheels off of it.

The wheels are 17x7 and 17x9.5 American Racing Salt Flats, as cast finish centers, polished lips. On the bumper, I did it on the cheap. I used spray clear, and the road construction and gravel lot were I worked beat the paint off. About once a month I had to redo the clear. Which explains the weird swirls in the metal. When I do the next one I want to have it clear powder coated. I'm not sure how they will powder coat the back black and the front clear, I will cross that bridge when I get to it.

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
Sorry guys don't have any pictures right now. Just bought my first S-10 in August, it was a 1997 Extended cab, 4 cylinder, 5 speed truck. Some high school kid ran it out of oil and ruined the motor. Got it for a steal off E-bay, rebuilt the motor and now a great daily driver that gets great mileage and even has room for my quad in the back. I will get some pics up when I get a chance.

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
I don't know if I can find a pic of my son's 83 Cinnamon red Blazer but, I found a pic of my wifes first Blazer. This is an 88 with 2.8l and 3.73 gears. The 2 tone gray/silver is the 88 with 4.3l and 3.73 gears we replaced the earlier 88 with after it was totaled in an accident.

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
Your truck sits nice. What do you have for a drop? I just did mine with 2" spindles & 2" springs in the front, but I think it might be a little too low. I think 1" springs in the front would be better. May just drop the rear another inch & call it good though.

Here's a pic of my new 4x4. Not as cool as most of the trucks on here but it gets the job done.

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
While it's not my truck, I did take this pic in November 1984. The 1983 S-10 Little BEARFOOT was a site to see! While going through hundreds of truck pull pics lately, going back 30 years, I just now noticed that I wish I had some of the cars they crushed! Back then the drivers wore T-shirts, jeans and no helmet.

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
Here's mine it's a 82 350, th350,I through it together from spare parts so it's not a show truck, but it's fun to drive. The wrecked one is a 95 extended cab 4.3. I almost have it fixed. Just have to get it painted and reassembled.

That looks familiar, except for the damage.

Here are some of my past S-10s in no particular order. I'll try to find a pic of my 4wd blazer on 42s tonight, I don't have it on the comp.

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
Here's some pictures from last November. Nothing has really changed since then except the motor. The pretty much stock 350 was replaced by a 383 stroker, and I thought it was quick before!
I did all the work you see including the dash and center console built from fiberglass. The paint is Viper red base coat clear coat. Lowering was handled with Belltech spindles and springs, the rear has custom built trailing arms and coil overs. |

Re: Let`s See Little GM Haulers
My first truck was a 79 Chevy Luv 4x4... got it when I was 14 (could get my license at that age at the time in SD, early 90s)... i have been looking for some pics around the house but can't find any yet...
closest I could find online were these 2... but mine was yellow (but typically stayed just as muddy ) http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j1...006/79_LUV.jpg if it wasn't for my height now as an adult (6'5"), I would get another one in a heartbeat
