Re: My son is heading for San Diego!!

Wish I would have found this thread a year ago! I could have had him over for dinner, or had someone to go fishing with up here in Rolla. Only 25 minutes from Ft. Wood and drive by it all the time when I go see my mom.

Spent 9 1/2 years in the Corps myself and 2 of those in Yuma. I ABSOlUTELY LOVED IT THERE. Just make sure he doesn't have a black car with broken A/C like I did. It gets HOT there!!

Tell your son congrats and thank him for his service.

Re: My son is heading for San Diego!!

Hey, glad I refound this thread, BOY what a difference a year and Marines does to a young man!! I am not really close to Yuma, but there are a lot of rust free trucks in the western az south eastern CA part of the world!! There is a bar in Yuma (the name escapes me, but the Marines hang around there a lot (well they did in 96, so it may be gone by now?!) Man, i just made myself feel kinda old with that!!

Congrats to him and again, let him know we are all proud of him and we are eternally grateful for his sacrifice and your families' too! GOD Bless!
