Re: Interesting Dooley
So the one laying on the ground hauling a load is a waste? Seems like it's doing the job just fine to me.

Re: Interesting Dooley
I'm betting you can still haul just as much but with more style doing it.

Re: Interesting Dooley
I tend to shy away from vehicles that are that altered also but it would be awful boring if everyone had the same taste . I like the Orange truck and to be honest , If I had it I would probably put 16 inch Alcoas on it . Frank

I've seen a lot of 19.5's on pickups although most were crew cabs going way back into the 70's. These trucks belonged to the railroads and were also equipped with the track wheels underneath for rail travel. Keep an eye on old former Conrail trucks in the salvage yards. |

Re: Interesting Dooley
I am not so sure the truck has been lowered. If any it wasn't very much. (I never saw the original ebay ad) The orange fenders seem to be what makes it look a little off, but that is where the trim ends that outlines the two tone.
Anyway, I like it. |

Re: Interesting Dooley
I could see where the next time that my truck needs new tires that I will be upgrading the rims to something bigger. My little rims and tires get lost on my truck.

Re: Interesting Dooley
I'd love to have that truck but those hip fenders would make me want to put on some side mirrors for drive thrus!

Re: Interesting Dooley
Oh man! This thing is sick, I love it. All I would change is painting the fenders to match the rest of the truck and chrome the wheels.

his name is Chase....super nice guy and a HELLUVA painter/body/suspension guy. He sold the dually a while back, but he also has an orange bagged squarebody Think he will be doing the work on my K5. The blue Taco he's hauling was a truck he painted and was "delivering" it to the guy...I think at Southeast Showdown.....whatever show it was...it won best paint

Re: Interesting Dooley
glad to see were reviving old threads. i just posted these pics last week in the Let's see some 73-87 1 Ton Dually Pictures! thead http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=304333
that orange one is defenitly lower than stock, those 19.5 with p30 recomended tire size is very close to the 16 tire diameter. it has no wheel well gap in the rear. i would like to see it laid out who knows how to photochop. |
