Re: New guy from central New York

VTBlazer, I'll be taking you up on that offer! This is my first classic truck, so this gearing and lifting is all new to me. My previous rides were a 71 cutlass convertible, 80 Vette and a 71 Chevelle convertible. Finally decided to buy something my 6'5" frame could fit into! Keep the info commin'

All nice rides but a K5 is in a class all by itself.

Here's another offer.
There's a road trip comprised of old blazers/Jimmies going to Mich. to play in the sand dunes this summer, wanna come along?

Re: New guy from central New York

Real nice blazer you have. Welcome aboard! I had a 80' vette also but I like the Jimmy much better.

When you get around to taking more pics PLEASE, PLEASE take some close up pics of the tube bars under the doors. This is what I have been looking for. I would imagine they are custom mounted so I am very interested in the details. Thanks.

Aaron

Re: New guy from central New York

The trip to Michigan sounds awesome...especially since I just saw those pic posted by another member. When is it? I'd want to make sure any bugs are worked out of the blazer...I only drove it up and down the road twice. I'll post some pics of the bars when I get her out of storage. I can tell you this, they flex quite a bit when I step on them, but I'm about 270lbs.

Exact date is yet tobe determined, two of us still have to finish our builds, but it will be end of Aug. early Sept. You have plenty of time to work out the "bugs" I wish I only had to work out the "bugs"
