There was a guy at the factory I used to work at. he had to have back surgery. to make a long story short they could not legally terminate his job for 6 months because it was medically related. I would call the local labor board. You may have a law suit possible here. If you were out due to a medical reason, they can't terminate your job. Aslong as you have proof you should be able to get a settlement or your job back.
