BTW...the big "hit" we took leaving the airport...shook the oil pan loose a tad, had a small leak on the way back, but no biggie. Also, lost both header collector gaskets about 15 miles from the house, looks like the hit was taken by one of the collectors.

Drove straight through and got home about 1:30 Saturday afternoon. Probably could have gotten there sooner, but every gas stop turned into a 20-30 minute conversation and/or hood pop with someone that either has or had a hotrod.

got new tires and a battery for the 74. also picked up a battery blanket for the new one. then bought a nice little self-retracting cord reel and 3-way splitter that i'm going to mount inside right next to the radiator on the drivers side, swap the plugs around so i don't have to use an extension cord to plug my truck in, and i can have the block heater and battery blanket plugged into one outlet. have the male end sticking out of the grill and just pull. ooh that'll be nice.

went to Darrel Starbird car show all day Saterday. I got alot of insperation at the car show so i worked on the truck most of Sunday. I pulled the junk rear end out and got the frame ready to put the C-notch in.
