Re: Pictures of my truck

Here is a picture of the neat radio set up I have. I was going to build something like it out of wood but while my dad and I were searching for materials we stopped a the dealership I bought my trans am from. We know them pretty well and have looked at many of their cars. While we talked to the mechanic about my truck and told him what we were trying to build, he pulled out the plastic housing in the pictures. He said he pulled it out of a '69 chevy truck they resently sold. He said they couldn't use it and that I could have it. It worked out awesome and I didn't have to cut up my dash. Now I need to fabricate a kind of snap in radio cover plate to cover the holes in the dash.

Re: Pictures of my truck

You should try to find an original radio delete plate. You may get lucky and find one that is the correct color and shade for your truck.

Re: Pictures of my truck

30 posts? What’s all the commotion…..Damn—dude! That’s a SWEET TRUCK! I love the color, but I’m biased! lol Since you asked, I would loose the fan, and lower it! Other than that its perfect- so much so that if you don’t lower it or remove the fan it still great!
Here is a suggestion for a personalized license plate – 4U2NV!

Re: Pictures of my truck

pic up a radio delete from the parts board and fill that open space up there. The radio looks good down below.

I just had a post on these radios a day or two ago and it seems most people that have them dont enjoy them to much

Re: Pictures of my truck

Very nice find! Keep it stock and drive it like it is. Whatever you do, don't take it apart and do a "frame off" like I did cause I haven't driven mine since '00. Enjoy...
