Re: Cab Removal ???

Roger Copy I plan to do it Saturday! I have military TDY to Minot AFB next week where the weather is very cold right now. I just want to get this done so I can prepare for the frame when I return home in a week...

Re: Cab Removal ???

I got out of the Hill trip till the Springs so it will cool to be there in warmer weather. We got sucked into the Minot trip, back home for two weeks and then off to CoCo Beach for the Boeing conference... Meanwhile I have to get my cab off the frame. I plan to redo my complete frame and paint it with POR 15 etc... New brake lines to compliment the disc brake swap.... So how is your truck coming along????

Re: Cab Removal ???

I have been bouncing around this site everyday for a while now. I too am going to try and tackle this cab removal for the first time in a few weeks. I have gotten great information and ideas....I thank everyone for that but first thing I thought after reading MGBMIKE's post was a site vendor degrading others....wow!! food for thought ....not a vendor for me. Just more great information...Thanks chevy one. Not trying to offend anyone but I would rather give my money to a vendor that is willing to help with any question I have no matter how petty it is. Hey Rob, welcome to the forum.

I just wanted to say: Mike is a decent guy. Please understand that we all have our moments, he clearly apologized and realized what he said was wrong, and he put the matter behind us. He could have done any numer of things to make things worse and be a real butthole, but he didn't - he stepped up, did the right thing with dignity.

While I do appreciate what you're getting across, I don't think that your comment is any better than Mike's. Degrading a board vendor over a comment he made, and saying you'd never do business with them after they made a concerted effort to be a man and make things "right" doesn't speak a whole lot to your character, either, and it doesn't put you in a boat that floats too far from the boat many thought Mike was in just a short couple of days ago.

Just some food for thought!

I would still do business with Mike. I can accept that we all have "one of those days" and may not always understand. Things don't always come across the right way on the internet.

Re: Cab Removal ???

70C10step, Minot for Hill, I'm beginning to wonder about you: Just kidding, I know it's great to get back home when you can. How the cab pull going? Let me know when get up to Hill, the lunch offer is still on.

19stepstep72, Welcome, don't be too hard on MGBMIKE, we all make mistakes. If you look back in your life , I am sure that you have opened wide and inserted a foot once or twice I sure Mike has learned from this. I have viewed his site and looks like a good place to deal with. Let us know when you get started with you project. In my book the only dumb question is the one that wasn’t ask

Re: Cab Removal ???

mbgmike, I appreciate your comments about this little experience - it is a very good man that reflects, learns and apologizes. I am looking forward to your future posts.
