Scavenge any part that you can use or sell and haul what's left to the crusher. One of the local crushers is paying $7.50/100 in my area. Your area could be a little more or a little less. That way you can buy more parts for your toys!

Well today i installed my power brake booster mc and prop valve. I drilled 4 holes and mounted the braket in the spot where the old one was. when i had finished the brake rod was 1 1/2 inch to short to the brake paddle, ill take both rods to work with me and cut off 1 3/4 and weld it to the 72 rod.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

Re: Front disk brakes ( with pics)
Well today I installed my power brake booster mc and prop valve. When I had finished the brake rod was 1 1/2 inch to short to the brake paddle,I'll take both rods to work with me and cut off 1 3/4 and weld it to the 72 rod.

I ran into the same problem with the brake rod coming up short when I put power discs onto my 1966 C10. Instead of cutting and welding, I sourced the end adjustable piece off of a newer truck (my 1975 C10 donor vehicle) since it was 1 3/4" longer than the factory 1969 booster bracket adjuster rod.

All I needed to do was drill out the factory threads in the newer piece to enlarge the hole then re-tap the threads to fit the rod threads on the booster bracket.
All in all the whole process took about 10 minutes and worked perfectly.

Now, I'm not trying to hijack this thread, just offering a different solution to the same problem. Best of luck on your build - Pete
