Re: MPG. I need some more Brains to help me out.
but that fan has enough power to keep my engine cool? Would i have to make a new shroud or just pop the new one in there with no shroud?

I mounted my fans up close to my radiators, by using aluminum strapping from my local hardware store and the fans stand up to just about anything that I do. The extra room in the engine bay is also a big plus. (the stock fan shroud is tossed). I control them so that only one turns on, unless the temps go high, then the second cycles on to support the first. I have yet to get to the second fan and use it. |

Here's a link on how to install a late-model jeep fan into your factory shroud. This is for install on a 67-72, but the shroud openings should be similar. The fan itself only runs about $70. In a follow up, one member reported gaining 3mpg with a 250L6! This is defenetly on my to-do list!
