That's just as bad as glass.
Ditch it and put on a steel filter.

Not as purty, to be sure, but it's a damn sight better than a burned up (or down) truck.

Just my .02.

Just remember that just because you got a smokin deal on it dont sell it in the future knowing you'll make money, you will find out it was worth more to you than you ever realized. Believe me thats where I am at now.

Yes, I have the chrome line and chrome filter on my truck. Look great and fits nice. Check my build thread and you can prob see it in one of the engine pics.

Re: phew she's home!

I 100% agree about the fuel filter. The fuel line as well. Best thing to do is put a filter in line before the fuel pump. That way if there is anything in the fuel it doesn't go through the pump. Then run steel lines from the pump to the carb. I feel that it's better to have as little rubber fuel line that you can get away with.

Re: phew she's home!

i put my fuel filters under the cab where the tank and the frames hard line are already conected by a rubber hose. it's a good excuse to replace that often overlooked hose. of course i don't have a lowered truck yet

Re: phew she's home!

No joke on the price. But i have a filter prior to the pump but i thought a little extra insurance wouldnt hurt. And i plan on doing AN hose in the engine compartment for a little extra flash.
