The reflector portion must reflect red in color per DOT regs.

I got some of these at the swap meet for $28 each. They are super bright and very nice. I would stronly suggest them.

The entire lens is clear. For some reason when I took the photo, the reflector shwed up as red. It is white though. I think the DOT regulation is there because they want the rear reflectors to be red in color to signify the rear of the vehicle. The main thing, I look at, is there is a reflector. That is all that matters to me. If I need to, I will put the red back on the get it inspected if that becomes an issue, then swap it back. Most cops won't mess with you as long as you have the reflectors and it shows red to the rear when you turn on the lights or hit the brakes/turn signals.
