Squint the left eye a little and raise right eye brow some.

Intimidating look, a look that says, don't steal the gas outa my truck or someones gonna get hurt real bad.

I think i've offically made a complete ass outa my self now.

Re: Warning: if somebody works on your truck -

I had a similar thing happen, I took my truck in last week to get new tailpipes bent up and installed, I show up and my truck isn't around, about a minute later it shows up with the exhaust guy and another guy back from the test drive with huge smiles on thier face. They only drove it a mile (because I checked) but still don't see the need for a test drive for tail pipes. It didn't really bother me much, but wasn't happy about it either.

I also came up with crooked eye (or "slew-eyed" as I call them) person, sort of like Jack Elam, old Gotcheye." Now, that's a person that could give you an evil side glance.

Re: Warning: if somebody works on your truck -

Siphoning gas is bad enough but what about some a--hole dumping some foreign object in your gas tank and then you lunch your engine because of it.
The gas cap in the stock location on our trucks is in a very vulnerable position. I picked my truck up on a Friday night in Sept. 2001 and the next morning the first thing I did was drive to the autoparts store and buy a locking gas cap which I'm still using.

Just a tip here from my other life. Whether you are leaving your classic truck or the daily driver econobox or anything you drive at a repair shop or parkade never leave all your keys
( cause more than likely your house key, work keys, shop keys etc. are probably on the ring and can be copied while your are away)
with the vehicle. all anyone needs is the ignition key to work on or park your vehicle. Before you leave the vehicle, lock the glove box, trunk so it cant be bypassed and any other place that can be locked.r

Jack Elam, thats exactly it. Now that look would keep the exaust shop from 'test driving' your truck.

I liked him in that old willie nelson movie about robbing the train where Jack played the old blind guy that road a bike everywhere instead of a horse:

Willie says to Jack, "Man, having you on the crew is like loosing 2 good men" LOL. classic

Re: Warning: if somebody works on your truck -

I had a kid dump eggs in my tank on my very first (of many) 67-72 trucks. I had to dump the whole tank as the egg whites congelled in the tank! Yeah 10-4 locking gas cap! Stink eye, yeah nobody wants to talk to me in person here at work (as they are "afraid of me/intimidated") I have the look! Never heard it called gotch eye, but I was trying to figure it out, so I held my breath till I almost passed out and it started to make sense, then I came to and lost it again!!

My dad said he once met a man nicknamed "La Rabia" (The Rabies) by his coherts cause he had the meanest look to him- like he'd rather kill you than talk to you. Everybody avoided him. One day my dad sat next to him during his lunch hour and said he was about the nicest person he ever met.

Anywho... Who sells the best locking gas cap? Napa?

I don't have the mean look so I need one.

Dont forget about VALET'S either! I once valeted my truck at the Circus Circus in Vegas, came back 3 hours later to the find motor at 180* and an 1/8 tank less of gas. At least the tires werent still warm.

At least they parked it up front near the lambos/range's/745's, ect. Still, I was pissed enough to lay into the valet manager for about 5 minutes in front of a big crowd.
