Re: brown trucks??
This is going on the lighter side. I believe this is called "saddle". I think Hart Rod's truck is this color also.

Re: brown trucks??
DO IT! I love brown on a truck. I've thought of painting mine Burnished Brown ( original 1969 GM color ) but I also like Shadow Gray. Good way to be different. As stated above, when someone asks what truck is yours and you say the brown one they won't have to look to far to find it.

Re: brown trucks??
Mine seems to change colors with different light? 2002 GM Meadowmist Brown. Sometimes looks like Gunmetal Grey?

Re: brown trucks??
I've thought of painting mine "Burnish Brown" that GM used in '69. I've always loved that color on a '69 Chevelle and would probably look good on a C10.

Re: brown trucks??
The original color on our 72 Malibu convertible was Midnight Bronze Metalic which is a beautiful color but not the color my wife chose to paint it .

Re: brown trucks??
Have never heard of 72 midnight bronze - got a pic? Sounds nice.
I really like the square bodies' browns, ala Sameyrasmea's 80. Considering that route for my 76 which is now orange. But it's orange, and I love orange too. Original paint (with a smashed door, so gotta paint it) and coded as special paint - so I could probably get away with any paint I wanted... But I digress. Here's some brown for ya below (obviously not original - but I LOVED the brown longhorn cheyenne super - it was for sale in Pahrump a few years ago, decent price, but, of course, no room... ): |

Re: brown trucks??
Dont have a pic of the Midnight Bronze ,I have only seen one 72 Chevelle restored with that color and it was sharp .Our 72 Malibu convertible was already painted a different color when we first got it and I could not convince my wife to take it back to that color .She picked Fire Red Metalic which is a burgandy color which is nice too.
