for me its the total package that just makes it work so well, it has what I can only describe as an "era" look to it, all the pieces fit to make one cool looking truck.

Me too! Been looking for a canopy for my SWB 4x4. I know it is not real cool, but it sure is practical. It came with alum one that was just too rough. I wanted smooth glass, cab high...like a blazer...looked at every late model made...won't work.
I finally found an old one, but it is blue...so just need more time to prep & paint
I hooked up a cheap 12v Harbor Freight winch under the new car port, so I can take it off & on by myself. It will also hang up high enough I can still park a truck under it without giving up the space.

i had one one a 70 and loved it but it wasnt that old of one

Keeps your stuff dry and fairly clean. Great place to bed down on a camping trip. What's not to like?
