Maybe it's for heavy duty trucks then.I have an original 68 chevy truck with 327/400 and it has the cup-shaped stamped steel mount.Same mount on my 71 also.
I'm not dis-agreeing with you,I was just curious.And trying to learn something!

well, here is a pic of it installed on my 68 327... since I didn't have PS on mine then I don't know what's 100% original. There are lots of different power steering pump brackets out there, this is on my short water pump 327....

end of discussion on my end...

The bracket set up he has here was normally on 69/70 trucks. It's just a little different bracket than the 71/72.
