Re: southwest 68

Looks very good. One thing worth mentioning...if you press in stock style bushings with the metal sleeve, you might have to try to remove the powder from where the bushing goes. Did this with a Chevelle and just the thickness of the powder coating was enough to prevent the bushings from going in.

Re: southwest 68

got the motor back and got it mocked up and everything in place. the left
exhaust manifold wouldn't clear the frame, but i'm planning on going with
headers. the wire harness mod turned out good, cleaned it up a bunch.
the wires are marked, ignition, start, constant, ac clutch and alt-eng light.
they were able to remove the vats from my ecm and also did a hp tune, up
the shift points and calibrated for my rearend and tire size.

Re: southwest 68

i picked up another truck to drive for now. 70 chevy, motor is new and sounds good, body is straight with a little rust. rockers, bed wheel arch. 2 cab supports have small holes in them. a guy i went to school with bought it back in 94 after a old man traded it in to the dealership he worked at.

Man oh man... you are really becoming addicted to these things..... welcome to the club!

Great progress on the frame. Are the trailing arms powdercoated?

When you thought about not doing bags were you going to sell out or go static?
