i spent the weekend cussing a 92 4x4 burb. had to put in a new tranny. somewhere along the line somebody took out the overdrive tranny and install a 350 turbo.. wouldnt have been so bad if they had use the right bolts and stuff on the tranny. turned into a 3 day job from hell.. man the stuff my friend gets me into..

Re: What did you get done? 06/22

Here's my late post from last weekend. I removed the 17's from my '71 2wd blazer and posted them in the "for sale" section. (these will work on the '73-'87 trucks also) I'm selling them to fund some 20's for my '86 swb. Here's the before and after. Also the link to my wheels F/S add. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=297121

Re: What did you get done? 06/22

Bought a new 74swb, changed the power steering pump on it. Noticed when I loosened the belts the water pump started leaking, so i changed it also. Did a little bit of electrical repair to the Tail lights. Dumba$$ p/o wired both turnsignals in the back together while installing the trailer hitch wiring so it looked like the hazzards where on whenever you turned the turn signals on. Rewired licence plate lights since he screwed them up also, now it all workes perfectly. Now I get to see what kind of trouble I can get into next weekend.

Re: What did you get done? 06/22

Well, not something I did this week, but last week. In the quest to get my truck started, my father-in-law and I pumped out about 4 gallons worth of water out of my truck. I think some punk neighborhood kids by our old house dumped it in there. It ran great before we moved last year, but the trip to the new house it ran like crap and stalled a few times. Then wouldn't start this year.

So now, hopefully I can get a few gallons of good fuel in the tank and a new filter on the truck and it should fire.
