Re: Pics and specs of lifted blazers
The first time I saw the first picture that you have posted it threw me since it needs to be rotated - I thought it was the front mount rather than the rear shackle and I was really scratching my head and thinking, how in the world could he be using a shackle mount up front - maybe that is what he was concerned about

http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/Zero%20Rates.htm I have since then reworked the suspension in the front and it is alot more trail friendly since i got better shackle angles, it rides alot nicer as well. Plus i got a great place to mount some d-rings. I got a piece of 1/4wall 2x6 square tubing cross tied between the frame rails and my zero rates installed straight up then centered the axle

Re: Pics and specs of lifted blazers
I had mine for the extra lift from my old 84 the springs originally came off of. The wheel was about an 1.5" back towards the firewall so if you wanted the wheel centered in the opening then yes you do need them

Re: Pics and specs of lifted blazers
Tire size?
Any idea as to why it sits so much lower in the rear? Are you running cross over steering with the 6" lift? |

Re: Pics and specs of lifted blazers
4" suspension with 35x12.5 tires on 8" wide rallys
The pic in the middle is the same truck before painting the body and the rally's. I think the unpainted rally's with beauty rings actually look bigger, but it is the same setup.

Re: Pics and specs of lifted blazers
Sold as a 3" lift, but actually added close to 5" in the front. 33x12.50x15 tires. Well, 5' with a small block. Probably 4" with the BBC that is in the photo.

10 inch ralley wheels made and put on 32x11.50 tires. when I bought the blazer it was advertised having a 4 inch Rancho lift but I think it's more like a 2 1/2 or 3 inch lift |

Re: Pics and specs of lifted blazers
yeah i cut my fenders. i took painters tape and lined it up with the bottom of the grill and follow it with the body lines, then i took off the grill and used a die grinder with a cut off wheel to trim the fender cups off. its easier to take the grill off so you can make a clean straight cut on the back side of the fender.
