I sure hope you do it! Maybe it will inspire me to do that swap to my '67 C-30 one day. I am currently putting a turbo'd 6.2L diesel in it because of ease of installation and cost. I'd love to have a Duramax or a 6V53T Detroit though. That's another swap that would be much cheaper, but transmissions would probably be more limited. The 6V53T's are rated between 275 - 350HP and 700 - 770 Ft lbs in stock form. They fit nicely in a pickup, but they are LOUD! They sound so cool though! They are said to get 30+ mpg in pickups. They are only 318 cu in, but they are very strong, and can be turned for some serious power.

Thanks for the link... Lots of stuff in there. I would like to get the whole truck. That way it has the allison transmission and all together. Once I remove everything (studying it of coarse) it would be much easier to drop it into the panel. (I think..) WES
