Re: 2 1/2 ton wheels?
25" wheels? That has nothing to do with it.You need to worry about tire diameter and mostly width. It`s all about contact area, rolling resistance, and leverage.

Re: 2 1/2 ton wheels?
Well guys I just found a really good site, I just watched Xtreme 4x4, thank God for them.
http://www.ouversonengineering.com/new_super_8 8-lug conversion and full axle products. Now I'll just upgrade it instead of worrying...phew. I cant decide if I want super singles in the rear or not...

Re: 2 1/2 ton wheels?
Your pockets are deeper than mine.Or,you`re alot younger and have a hella lot more time to save .Not trying to knock your plan.I`m all about living by "To Each His Own".But,"if" I was going to go into all you are planning I`d design it around some serious off road use.Kinda much for a BLVD truck, especially with cost of fuel.
I`ve dreamed up my share of stuff, like you have. That`s what makes the world go`round.

Re: 2 1/2 ton wheels?
that ouverson stuff is by far badass.
but BIG FREAKIN $$$! if your only "mild" wheelin,i dont think you need the big shafts. they would be nice, but prob dont need..imo check out longs wheel and rim, theyre in florida.sorry dont have the # or website handy. they make their own shells and centers, can get some really cool designs cut out in the centers.lot less than the 8 lug conversion plus wheels. you can go to "chuckstrucks.net" go to the forums, look for username "LWR",hes the dude to talk to about wheels. i think it would be cool to have one of those big mamas for a tow rig, driver. good luck steel soldiers is a great site w/TONS of good tech info.
