Somebody had to show me how to add pics just the other day. Use the "GO ADVANCED" button, then "Manage Attachments", and 'BROWSE" to locate them on your PC. Then "Attach"

Probably need to convert her to HEI, wonder how much that will cost. Someone told me she had a 'flat' camshaft? Last time I drove her was in 1997.
Going to pull the plugs and put some Marvel in the cylinders for a bit. Would like to find a 1/2 ton rear-end to put back in. She has a 3/4 ton rear-end currently. |

That`s a decent looking truck to go over the mechanicals and d.r.ive.It`s a leaf rear?You can bolt in a later 12-bolt,if you don`t find a `72-earlier one.The spring perches and one shock mount will need changed.

C= Conventional E= Eight cylinder 1 = 1/2 ton gvw range 0D = fleetside box P= Pontiac assembly plant B= 1968 model year 38880 = sequence number (vin specific) off that pontiac plant assembly line In case your wondering the dash ( - ) as shown in the pic of your vin plate was there because there were requirements that some state ( Pennsylvania) had to identify if it met their complaince requirements of the day, usually if the truck was destined for PA from the assembly plant, a letter of K of T was in place of the -.
